FT App

Just a quick post about the new FT web app that has been launched today. It runs on most modern mobile devices that will support html5 and is pretty much a must have. Especially this week as you get one weeks free access to the whole site.

The app is easy to 'download' - you don't need to visit itunes or the rather rubbish android marketplace, just head to app.ft.com and the page there will prompt you to make a link on your device. Web apps are normally ugly things but this updates quickly, provides access to the entire site, and is smooth to navigate through. Perhaps the real beginning of the digital news world? No doubt Apple won't be happy but with true news providers losing out about a 1/3 of revenue to subscribers through the online market places then you can't blame Pearson for choosing this route.
